Life is Good

Sunday we took my Dad to see Isaac. Dad really enjoyed the day. Here he is holding Isaac for the first time. Dad will be 87 in October. He works every day except Sunday. He is an auctioneer by trade, as was my grandfather. He continues to sell sheep and goats once a month. He may be not only the oldest active auctioneer in the USA, but he may hold the record of being an auctioneer for the longest time. He sold his first auction as a boy around 80 years ago. Rock on Dad!

Dad, Kael, Isaac and myself posed for a four generation picture. Hopefully in September there will be a five generation picture of Isaac, Sara, and her mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Imago Dei

"So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." Genesis 1:27

The biblical truth of humans being cre
ated in the Imago Dei, Latin for "Image of God", is astounding. Neither the animals, the entire rest of creation, nor the angels were created Imago Dei - only humans. Imago Dei sets us apart. The plan of God for you and me is to resemble Him. To resemble God is profound to say the least.

Wednesday afternoon God blessed our family with life. Isaac James Bloom was born Imago Dei by C-section. He resembles his Daddy, Kael. Sara is doing very well and Genelle is basking in being Grandma!

Life is so precious. New life is awesome. Being Created Imago Dei is profound.

I prophesy Isaac will resemble God all the days of his life; that he will bring laughter and joy; and that he will radiate Imago Dei to his generation.

Today's the Day

Before the day is done our new grandson will have arrived. We are at the hospital. Things are progressing nicely, or so I am told.

More to come, with pictures of course, as the day goes on.
