One year ago today I entitled my blog "Opportunity to Believe God for a Miracle". I want to give the Lord Jesus praise for His sustaining grace and His strengthening power. He has proven yet once again His trustworthiness, faithfulness and goodness.
I am the healed and not yet. I continue to walk by faith and by faith I will continue to walk. Jesus Christ is Lord, ALS is not.
One of the many things I am learning on this journey of faith is a greater empathy for individuals with a disability. Previously I was oblivious to accessible issues, ADA recommendations, grab bars, ramps, transportation that accommodates my power chair and doors that open automatically. I am now grateful for them. I have learned that some accessible hotel rooms meet the letter of the law while others meet the spirit of it.
I wonder how many Christians do just enough to get by? You know, say the prayer, get a back row seat ticket to heaven and all the while thinking they have done something worth being rewarded for. Of course that is not the attitude of Jesus and he proved it in life and death. And it should not be ours either. And we should prove it with our life of good works that bring glory to the Father.
In addition to giving praise to my God, I want to honor Genelle for her love, for her terrific attitude, for never complaining, for doing things that I currently cannot do. I am blessed beyond description. Thank you beautiful. I love you...more.
And thank you all for your prayers.

Great Day
Today is a great day! Because it is Halloween? No! But because the Spirit of the Lord is far greater, superior, and more powerful than the spirit of the demonic.
The Spirit of life is greater than the spirit of death - Christ's resurrection proves it.
The Spirit of light dispels darkness.
The goodness of God transcends evil.
The majesty of Majesty is majestic.
God Almighty is all powerful, all-knowing, and all powerful, Satan is not.
The Lord Jesus Christ is victorious, the devil is not.
The Lord Jesus Christ is Lord. Satan is not.
Christ's Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom. The devil's is not.
The blood of Christ, the cross of Christ and the resurrection of Christ trump the schemes of the devil.
The plans and purposes of God win over the plans of Lucifer.
Satan and the demonic bow before the Lord Jesus as do kings, prime ministers, presidents and tyrants.
Yes, this is a great day. Be exalted in the heavens and on earth and on the prairie, Lord Jesus Christ, today and every day. Amen!

Antichrist - Alive today?
In my lifetime I have heard many names floated and speculated upon as being the Antichrist. Interestingly most, if not, all have been political figures. Of course time and death has proved otherwise for those potential candidates and has proved the promoters of that particular Antichrist wrong.
I was reading 1 John before going to work this morning in The New English translation and the following is how two Antichrist verses are recorded:
1 Jn. 2:22-23 "Who is the liar? Who but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is Antichrist, for he denies both the Father and Son..."
and
1 Jn 4:2-3 "...This is how we may recognize the Spirit of God: every spirit which acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit which does not thus acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is what is meant by 'Antichrist', you have been told that he was to come, and here he is in the world already!"
Hmm. How does John's definition of Antichrist fit with the traditional end-times view concerning "The Antichrist" arising to power, etc.? Let me here your thoughts.

The Journey
Life is not a sprint, it is a journey. Following Christ is a journey not a destination. Jesus simply said, "Follow me." The journey is full of surprises and is certainly not sterile. There is mystery and intrigue, excitement and plodding forward, disappointment and satisfaction. To be a follower of Jesus Christ is to be a participant in the journey - the entirety of the journey.I suppose the reason I have "journey" on my mind is because Genelle and I just drove 1938 miles! from Wednesday evening through Monday night and we were only in three states; Missouri, Oklahoma and Kansas. Our journey allowed us to see all five of our kids. We were also privileged to be present when Elliot Prescott was born on Friday and to celebrate Isaac's first birthday a day later. Br
Isaac enjoyed the cake and frosting and was more interested in climbing the stairs than his presents. He will be walking before long. His birthday is the 20th, Elliot's the 21st, and Brandi's is the 22nd. We will just have a three day party next year!

The journey of life and following Jesus is to be welcomed and embraced. I am privileged to be a participant in both.
